Summary of the Project: Location-Based Smart Door Lock System
Project Overview
- Title: Location-Based Smart Door Lock System
- Objective: Prevent unauthorized access by detecting abnormal door lock activations and notifying the user based on location data.
- Submission Date: June 8, 2023
- Course: IoT Solutions (Inha Technical College, Computer Information Engineering)
- Project Leader: 김대현 (Computer Information Engineering, ID: 202347020)
Key Features
- Door Lock Monitoring:
- Detects door lock states (inactive, active, abnormal) by analyzing current flow:
- Inactive: 0 mA
- Standby: ≤ 20 mA
- Active: 100 mA
- Overvoltage: 400–500 mA
- Transmits current data every second to ThingSpeak via API.
- Location-Based Alerts:
- Checks the user's registered smartphone location using GPS coordinates.
- Notifies the user if the lock is activated while their phone is outside the home radius.
- Provides options for forced lock or emergency notifications to authorities.
- Real-Time Communication:
- Utilizes IoT platforms (ThingSpeak, IFTTT, AWS) for communication between the lock and the main server.
Development Environment
- Hardware:
- Raspberry Pi 3B+
- Microsoft Surface Book 3
